Nancy Canyon

My objective as an artist is to explore my inner and outer worlds through writing and art, and to help others explore their worlds too. What we discover will deepen our creative work and our connection to each other.

Creating is a way to free the authentic self, to learn about the world, to grow and change. I encourage everyone to take a non-judgmental stance toward the creative process so this will become possible.

Artist

Nancy creates her paintings in a vintage art studio/gallery located in Historic Fairhaven. Her acrylic paintings, Nature Reflections, are currently hanging at Morgan Block Studios through December 2019. See her work at 1000 Harris Street, Suite #6, Fairhaven, Washington, by appointment.

Visit Nancy during Whatcom Studio Tours in October 2019.

Writer

Nancy holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University
and a certificate in fiction writing from the University of Washington. She has penned three novels and is working on a memoir detailing two summers spent as a fire lookout attendant in the Clearwater National Forest in the early 70s.
