“Through the years, I’ve come up with different painting series: sunset silhouettes, sea shell fragments, chairs, flowers, etc.. Currently I’m intrigued by tree branches and sky reflecting on the bay or at Lake Padden. The shapes, almost prism-like sometimes, shimmer on the surface. The first time I photographed the phenomena, I was thrilled. So I experimented painting from one of my photographs, the result being a popular painting, Reflection on Padden Creek.”
