SPIRALING LEAVES, a 4′ x 6′ painting hanging at the Whatcom Museum for one of our WAST showing, October 2024.
I have always loved to paint flowers. Throughout my painting career, my compositions have changed. Along with composed pieces like the one above, I’ve become taken by reflections on water. I love the lily pads on Scudder Pond: their bright yellow flowers make me happy. In my art studio in the Morgan Block Building in Historic Fairhaven, you’ll find a theme running through my work–the quiet closeups of flowers and leaves in nature. When you walk into my Studio #6, vibrant colors painted in acrylic on canvas await you. Come for a visit!
Pick up a map from local businesses and follow it, driving around the county, visiting the amazing studios of forty-nine local working artists.
My studio in the Morgan Block Building in Historic Fairhaven is located in a vintage building at 1000 Harris, where many artists work. This tour, you will find my paintings, books I’ve published, greeting cards, tiny painting, and other gifts for the holidays. Across the hall from me you will see Marijo Martini’s amazingly beautiful jewelry, which I buy often. It is sparkly gold and silver with tiny gems. Exquisite.
Make it a fun day, or two, or even four. When you are in Fairhaven, stop for lunch at Jalapeños, and then cross Harris to the Morgan Block Building, the entrance between Good Earth Potter and Artwood, 1000 Harris. Marijo and I are on the second floor in the north corners. We’d love to meet you! Enjoy a cup of hot cider while you look around.
