About My Process: I write books, personal essays, and poetry using stream-of-consciousness free-writes. Editing happens after the hand-written raw material is typed into the computer. Stream-of-consciousness is fresh and powerful writing. I teach the method at the community college and through The Narrative Project. I’ve written several novels this way, and as a result, I now better understand the effect my painful childhood experiences had on me. Not that this book or any of the others I’ve written are my personal story…all are works of fiction. My latest book, a memoir, is in its final edit. STRUCK goes into detail about my relationship with an abusive step-father.

The Launch is scheduled for September 19, 2020 at Village Books in Fairhaven, Bellingham, WA. But, we are in the time of COVID-19, therefore, my launch may not take place at the bookstore. I had imagined the reading gallery packed with all your smiling faces. I may see you online instead.
