Reeds and Lilies by Nancy Canyon
This coming Saturday, our first Whatcom Artist Studio Tour Show will open the same day as Chuckanut Bay Gallery’s Spring Open House. Artists will be available to discus their work. I will be there from 1-2PM. The show is open from 10-5.
This Sunday, Cinco de Mayo, May 5th from 3:00-4:30, I will be the guest poet/artist for the Writers’ Salon at Village Books. The topic of discussion: Artistic Inspiration. Join the chat. It will be a blast.
MAY 11, SPRING ARTWALK will take place in Fairhaven from 4-7pm. Our building will be hopping with lots of great artists and their brilliant art. Climb the stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Morgan Block Building at 1000 Harris. I’m in room #6. I will look forward to your visit to see new cards and paintings.
September 20th at 6 PM, my memoir STRUCK: A Season on a Fire Lookout will launch at Village Books. Be sure to come to the reading. It will be a great evening. Even though the pic I’m sharing below isn’t the final cover art, it gives you an idea of what the cover will look like. That is me in the upper righthand corner, just a baby. The story takes place in the 70s on Corral Hill Lookout, outside of Grangeville, Idaho. Hope you will join me!
